FIRSTLY HAPPYBIRTHDAY STACY Every one will have a story about how and who they voted for this year, and where and what they were doing when they heard who won. As I said yesterday I voted for the first time. And I heeded the advice to expect to wait an hour or more to do so. I was dropped off at my polling location and intended to walk home. Voting took maybe 10 min and I set off for home. Long story short I got lost. Apparently I was not as close to home as I thought. After wandering for about 30-40 min I found familiar ground and called for a ride. Like most I glued myself to the results coverage. And like some I CRIED at the news Obama won. Only I cried because Alex woke me and I became aware that I seriously had to pee. Not a story to tell the kids later in life. Did I miss much? Was it ever close? What will your story be? |

Here is my story for this year:
I did the early voting because I wasn't sure how long I was going to be down for the surgery so I was in and out in less than 10 minutes.
Yesterday I decided that since the election stuff was on every station I would take my first trip out. Went to Target, got some Starbucks in the Target, regretted walking that much, went home. Found NCIS on an off channel and watched that instead of the election coverage and then Joseph came out to the living room to tell us that Obama had won. Finished NCIS and then watched McCain's speech. Turned off the tv and went to play video games.
Not as fun as in previous years. Vic and I use to hold election poll watching parties which would spark some fun conversations. Overall it was a boring evening.
