Just a busy little bee... that's me |
So this is what I was up to last weekend.
Friday, nothing or I just don't remember.
Saturday, house hunting. Went and looked at about 6 houses and 4 of the six were the same damned floor plan. And why if you are buying a house would you buy one where your kitchen is your dining room is your living room? Maybe it's just Texas designers. But I'm buying a home to get away from apartment type floor plans. But any way. I found a home I'm thinking very hard about. I love this house. Love, love, love. But the problem is this. The house has some foundation issues and some wood rot. And I'm scared. I don't want a house that will fall down on me. But I love it. Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove it. Nice big back yard with 2 trees. Large front yard and side yard. I'm visulizing fruit tree's along the side of the house. White rose bushes all along the front of the house under the windows. I'm seeing some cute pastel colored flowers around the tree up front and a tire swing on that tree. I'm seeing the wood of the house painted off white (only cause Alex nixed my blueish choice). I'm seeing a veggie garden out back. The kitchen, goodness bless this kitchen. I love it. Carpet would be changed, wall's re-painted. It needs a little TLC to make it really mine.
But here.... The house....
The Kitchen....
I know it's hard to see but that window in the kitchen is a window seat. there is a seperate laundry room straight back and that door leads to a 2 car garage. But the kitchen do you see how freaking huge that thing is?? I can have an island. and an overhead pot rack. I see the kitchen re-done in a lighter wood and prettier cabinets. Ala IKEA (yeah i'm sad I already found my kitchen.) Oh those dark spots on the floor are really pretty roses and I rather like them.
I want this house so bad. Did I mention that there is an elementary school across the street and we are close to like 4 different parks?
Thank for letting me talk this out. I think I'm going to call fro a re-showing. I want this house.
I hope I can get it. Oh and it's under 100k. the houses in the area go for about $114-130.
Sunday- nothing much. |

The house looks great! How exciting! I would be hesitant though to purchase a home with foundation issues. They are extremely expensive to repair. You might want to ask the relator to provide you with documentation from a foundation repair company on how much damage is done and an estimate on how much it would cost to fix it. If the relator did its job, it should have that information on hand. Hugs!

My realtor is trying to pry the findings report out of the listing agents hands. But we have been told that they think it will cost 7k to fix. But if we get the report we can start shopping it ourself. Is it sad that I'm starting a home depot wish list and wishing Ikea would let me? Ohhhh... Burpee Gardens.... drooooooooool!!

I don't even own a home and have a Home Depot wish list and circles all through my IKEA book. I completely understand. =)
