| For shits and grins |
*First though, the meeting went fine. Gabby is good. It was a semesterly thing. They said she is maturing and broadening her interests. And you know what. Not once did her teacher say "Gabby is just being Gabby" cause you know how freaking much I hate that cop out of an excuse. So I am happy.
Now for the fun. I saw this some where and I don't remember all the rules.
Go to Google.com and google *Your name* needs and type up some of the top results (I'm doing 10)

| Damn Baby your tall!! a.k.a. 3rd Post for the day |

We had her 4yr well child today.
43 inches (3'6(ish)) - 99th percentile (shit kid!) 45 lbs - 95th percentile
The Dr. thinks she will end up about 5'8!
5'8 can you imagine????!?!!?!
I'm pushing for the 5'4 I claim and she is going to be almost 1/2 foot taller than me!!
The crazy thing about her height is in 6 months she would have only been in the 75th percentile!
Dr. said he was worried about her weight until he saw how tall she is. So just to watch and be careful. Sounds like we have more walks to the park to make and more bike riding to do!! Thank goodness the weather is getting nicer!
I tell you what if she ends up with a figure like either her Aunt Jessica or her Tia Mari this kid will have it made!
She also had her last 3 shots until she is 14!
And the Dr. told her that she doesn't have bugs or worms in her brain. So hopefully that one will die.
Oh hey are any of you good with the health and why and how the body works things? I've noticed Gabby is getting pretty interested in these kind of things. Asking a lot of question, I'm not 100% sure how to answer or explain. Like how would you explain blood flow to your kid? Why your veins look blue but your blood is red ( I know the real answer about oxygen she just wasn't grasping that one)? Or digestion with the absorption of vitamins and what ever else.Labels: Dr, Gabby, shots, tall, Update, Well Child |

| Weekend Recap Part 1 |
Never a Dull Moment. How true. This is a 2 parter not because we did so much but because well I suck and didn't take all the needed pictures. And sheesh you should know by now I just don't do posts that consist of words. Nope not I. I need pictures! (Uhhh I just wanted to interrupt my self and tell you about the heart attack I just had. It's very blah and grey out side. (bear with me this is important to the story) Out side my window at work is a tree. This tree is currently in full bloom. Many many many white flowers. Just for a moment there, out of the corner of my eye, I thought it was snowing. A lot. But no. It is just flowers.) Any way. Did I tell you Alex got some blond put in his hair?? | In regards to Gabby's sudden hair loss |

I myself think it is beautiful and wonderful! And Gabby couldn't be happier it's what she wanted. (HA! April I bet you didn't think your talk about long hair was going to do so much did you?) For a little bit now Gabby has been saying "I want my hair short like yours, mommy" and I say "NO WHAT ARE YOU CRAZY?" oh wait that was Alex and my Mom, not me sorry. I was was more honest "Honey I think that would be to short. What about to here?" (here being just below her shoulder blades when it was dry) So we have had many many talks about it. And finally we decided to go get her hair cut Saturday after we went to the library.
Alex and Mom were adamant she not get it cut short. Gabby wanted it short. I wanted enough weight off that her curls would come back but not so much that she fro'ed.
The stylist at the Zoo Cuts in Allen didn't speak English. And apparently didn't know what to do with curly hair.
My request was Straight not angled back cut. I want it below the shoulder blades when it is dry.
She cut it angled back and cut it AT the shoulder blades (which DUH curly hair shrinks when dry). Also now I can't pull it into a pony tail or single braid because the front is too short.
I also had to stop the lady from blowing Gabby's hair straight. Never once did I say anything about straightening her hair or styling it for that matter. Just a cut and air drying is all I wanted. (but I guess to air dry she would need wet hair, it was barely wet-ed with a spray bottle. Is that normal? Why wouldn't they do the full treatment with wetting the hair in the sink?)
But anyways. Very cute hair but I don't think I will be going back to that Zoo Cuts. I think next time we will try that kids salon that just opened in Frisco Sweet and Sassy.
I think the best think about this hair cut is now Gabby can be more independent. She's excited that she can wash and brush her hair by herself now.Labels: Gabby, haircut |

| Weekend Recap Part 2 AKA Gabby and the Castle Mailbox |
I had one of those rare moments when I got creative AND motivated at the same time. Alex was making room in Gabby's closet and cleaned out two medium/large boxes and me being me looked at it and said "Don't throw those away I want to make Gabby a Castle." His response was one of those along the lines of what ever that will happen when pigs fly in a frozen hell. But I did!!
Sunday Morning I told Gabby what I wanted to make for her and she didn't quite get it. But the more I cut and started gluing the more excited she got. (which that is an awesome feeling!) She got to tell me where the door was to go and where the window needed to be and what kind of window (one big hole or four little squares). And her only real demand is that there needed to be a flag.
I wish there was video of her during the creative spurt, so you can see the wonderful mixture of little girl (giggling hysterically when I cut a circle in the door for a door knob) and the decisive big girl giving her opinion and suggestions ("I don't want to paint it. I just want it brown. I like the brown."). Like telling me she didn't want star shaped stars cut in the roof, "just little circles".
I enjoyed the time we spent building her castle, I loved watching her help me glue the squares to the roof and place her flag.
But I think I'm just babbling, So here are some pictures!
She said it needed a mailbox So now we are all just about caught up! Labels: cardboard castles, catching up, creative, Gabby, Weekend recap |

| And what did you do today? |
I tended my ill child.
Made her Dora the Explorer Soup (cause I rock)
I worked
I finally got around to fixing the hole in Gabby's jeans.
But geeze they are so BOOOOOORING now. Hmmm... how can that be fixed? Oh I know!
Tada!!
Also now that I've gotten around to this and fixed the jeans guess what's getting too short.
But they are soooooo cute.
And if you think so and you think your child will wear them and soon let me know they may be yours. (they are a size 4 in the big girl section) (wait big girl as in not the baby/toddler section not as in big girl my child inherited my weight)
Ok so be brutal and be honest. Do they really look ok?Labels: crafty, Gabby, jeans, sick, soup |

| Including today just 7 Shopping Days Left!! |
She saw Santa for the first time this weekend!!
So I think this qualifies under DUH but this is going to be yet another picture post!!
First there is much waiting with a little playing.
Then right before her turn the Big Guy shows that he is human and takes a potty break! Then she does it! She sits in his lap says what she wants and NO SCREAMING NO CRYING!!! I am sooooooooo lucky!! (since she takes after Jess in so many ways I was worried cause that girl only sat in Santa's lap once where she didn't scream and cry) Thank you everyone for coming over Friday!!! | OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!! |
DID YOU HEAR THAT? DID YOU FEEL THAT? THAT HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF? I'm sorry if it startled you. But it was much deserved.
You know what I did?
I got Gabby just exactly what she wanted for Christmas (god just don't ask how much I spent). I am the bestest Santa EVER!!!!!!
See last season when you went down the Pink aisle all you saw was Barbie Magic of Pegasus crap. I looked and I thought really really hard about getting just about everything for Gabby. And I didn't.
And now this year, it's all about the 12 Dancing Princess's. You know what she wants more than anything? What she specifically asks for first (not saying much since she only asks for 2 things) by name. That she is 100% obsessed with?
"Barbie Magical Flying Pegasus, with wings"
And after being outbid (cause the *&*%%$^&#* at Mattel don't have this shit for sale anymore) more times then I care to admit I up and did a buy now thing. Sure I spend double my max bid (with shipping) on any of them, but I not only got the exact Pegasus but I got Annika (Barbie) and Prince Aidan with Shiver. So I got all 3 for just about what I would have spent at the store last year.
I hope she has a wonderful Christmas and she darn well better play with these dolls till she's 30.
I think we are pretty much done shopping for her she's getting (also the fun thing is that most of the stuff (excluding IKEA) was bought on sale and the linked prices are more)
Art Easel & paper roll from Ikea LINKReal Cooking set from Ikea LINKChutes and Ladders Scooby Doo 2 (the live action for some strange reason she's all about the Scoob) Some Batman Cartoon movie Fashion Barbie Barbie in the Kitchen LINK comes with Barbie as well Barbie and Baby LINK comes with Barbie and baby Fairy Barbie (not exact color?) LINK1st Charm Bracelet with Ballet Charm Brietta the Pegasus See below Annika/Barbie See below Prince Aiden See Below Princess and the Pea Doll Beauty and the Beast Doll (I think I got this awhile ago) Big Girl Bike (she really wants a Little Mermaid one but we'll see) (this would be the other thing she asks for by name.) Brietta the Pegasus
 Annika
 Prince Aiden and Shiver

And I think we are done shopping for the boys!
What are you getting that is going to make you the bestest Santa ever in your family??
Also, I hope you had a good Thanksgiving!!
p.s. uhhhh... if you are family looking at this going well shit now what do I get her? I have some really really easy answers. Anything Spiderman, Batman, Power Rangers. She doesn't have any chalk or paint for her easel. Ummm... Disney Movie's like Cars, Lady and the Tramp, The Little Mermaid or Barbie movies (not Magical Pegasus or Swan Lake), she loves horses (normal as well as unicorns and pegasus)Labels: Christmas, Gabby, Hero Syndrome |

| If I'm 2 days late does that mean I'm 2 dollars short? |
Uhhh... Happy Halloween!! Hope it was a good one....
Yeah I'm lame I admit it. I'm also a bit slow with the posts and the pics and it's 100% me.
See I borrowed Manda's baby. And I took something like 184 pictures of Gabby. In less than 24 hours.
She told me to stop taking pictures of her.
Over and Over again.
And I did, when I dropped her off at school.
I think she now sympathises with the celebrity's who have to deal with the paparazzi.
Oops.
But she was sooooooooo friggen cute!!
So when Manda's camera is done with it's much needed Gabby detox, and gives up the pics, I'll try not to show you all 184.
She wouldn't even let me take her picture with my camera phone this morning. She hid, and ran.
*sigh* why must she be so selfish? (just kidding)
Is it time to go start the book swap yet?? Have you gone to sign up yet? You should! It will be fun, maybe I'll get you as a pal!
I am sooooo not talented in this stuff but go look at the button I made for it!! (it's under my button section to the left (yeah yeah you should have known(I can't help myself and it took me a bit to find her reading even though I know she liked to read)))
Oh I was talking to one of the Mom's at Gabby's daycare yesterday morning, apparently all she heard last week was how Gabby was coming back and all she's heard this week is Gabby this and Gabby that! And the teacher piped up and said "Yeah, that's all Megan was talking about last week as well. She was telling everyone Gabby's coming back."
I think we made the right choice. She's extremely happy, I haven't heard anything bad and I've asked, her clothes are staying cleaner, and she's happy. For the first time this morning she took off with out me and didn't even give me a hug and kiss goodbye. She just grabbed Megan's hand and they ran off the the "Schooler's" room where they go until they start school.

| Give me a moment I'll think of something smart like |
Oh so much to catch up on!!
I think I will defer to Manda for the blow by blow for her Birthday party :) I loved the haunted house that is an awesome idea for a party!!
Lets see... Last week I had a temporary assistant she only lasted for a day and a half. And boy can I tell you this person made more work then help so I had to fire her. But gosh she was pretty. See?

Today is Gabby's first day back at her old school! She looks sooooooooo frigging cute in her uniform (I almost called it a costume) and me being biased I think she looked cuter than anyone in her class. Oh it was soooooooo good to bring her back, Megan was the first one to see her and she immediately yelled "GABBY" and came running to say hi and then here came the chorus of her other friends, gosh it was cute and I am so glad we could get her back there. Also I totally love her new teacher!!
